Nathaniel Atkinson will join Hearts from Melbourne City in January on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
The 22-year-old right-winger, Australian Olympic teammate to Cammy Devlin, will arrive for an undisclosed amount, subject to visa approval.
Boss Robbie Neilson said on the club’s official website: âI am delighted that we have Nathaniel on board.
“He’s a really talented player and much appreciated in Australia so it’s a bit of a stroke to have him.
âHe will bring energy and ability to the team and competing for places will raise levels across the team.
âI can’t wait to work with him. “
Sporting Director Joe Savage added, âWe’ve put a lot of hard work into making this move happen, so we’re delighted that it’s close to being completed.
âThere are a lot of people to thank, but I would especially like to mention Vince Grella (agent), who was instrumental in securing this deal.
âNathaniel fits the profile we are looking for; he is young, talented and eager to succeed.
“We think he can keep doing great things and I’m sure fans are going to really love watching him in a Hearts shirt.”
