Journalist Pete O’Rourke is confident Newcastle United will be able to persuade Premier League clubs to sell them in January because “the money speaks”.
Amid all the fallout from the recent takeover of Newcastle by PIF, Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers, it has been suggested that some top teams will refuse to do business with the Magpies.
What is the announced position of some Premier League clubs?
According to The telegraph, some Premier League clubs will be rolling out an ‘Everyone But Newcastle’ policy when it comes to listening to player offers next month.
It would be a big blow to Eddie Howe, who is in desperate need of new recruits given Tyneside outfit’s current position in the table.
There is obviously still a long way to go, but things don’t look good, especially with this discussion that they potentially couldn’t sign players from some of their Premier League rivals.
What did Pete O’Rourke say about the whole situation?
O’Rourke, however, can see the above position soften, believing that clubs will find it difficult to say no to the kind of money Newcastle can offer.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the reporter said: “It’s not an ideal situation for Newcastle with some Premier League clubs refusing to do business with them but at the end of the day the money speaks and if the clubs need certain players and Newcastle are interested you you have to think that it makes good sense for these players to move on. ”

Do Newcastle need to sign Premier League players?
The Premier League remains a huge draw and with its wealth Newcastle can be expected to be able to attract players from other major European divisions.
Getting caught up in a relegation battle could be a drag, but there are ways around it – loan deals and relegation release clauses, for example.
But given they’re in a relegation battle, Howe really can’t afford to bring in players who need time to settle in and adjust. By then, it might just be too late.
In addition, Newcastle are expected to look to recruit people with Premier League experience. Unfortunately for the Magpies, however, it looks like some clubs are going to make it difficult for them.
