Skip & Loafer Anime's 2nd Season Reveals April 2027 Debut in Teaser Video
The highly anticipated second season of the anime adaptation of Misaki Takamatsu's manga series, Skip & Loafer, has finally been announced. The teaser video reveals that the show will debut in April 2027, marking a significant milestone for fans of the series. The first season of Skip & Loafer premiered in April 2023, captivating audiences with its engaging narrative and vibrant animation. The series follows the journey of Iwakura Mitsumi, an excellent student who dreams of making a positive impact in the world, and her newfound friendship with the laid-back Shima Sousuke. The story explores the challenges of city life and the power of friendship in overcoming obstacles.
The second season will be directed by Kotomi Deai, who also directed the first season, ensuring a consistent and high-quality production. Deai will be joined by scriptwriter Yōko Yonaiyama, who will oversee the series scripts alongside her. The character design and animation will be led by Manami Umeshita, with additional support from Reina Igawa and Yūsuke Inoue. The music composition will be handled by Takatsugu Wakabayashi, returning from the first season, with new composer MICHIRU joining the team.
The staff also includes several new additions, such as Mio Fujishima as sub-character designer, Sara Sakoe, Hiroyuki Honda, and Chieko Satō as main animators, and Satomi Higuchi as prop setting. The 2D design and subtitle design will be handled by Ryo Murakami, while special effects will be managed by Masahiro Murakami and Sumie Murakami. The background art will be created by Yūta Fujii, with Sō Senoo as the art director and Yūko Kobari as the color design supervisor.
