Arsenal would have been told to spend 50 million euros to secure the services of Nabil Fekir, considered an alternative to Martin Odegaard.
According to a report from the Spanish outlet El Gol digital, Arsenal appear to have focused on Nabil Fekir as being the desired alternative for Martin Odegaard in the summer transfer window. The North London giants, however, will have to pay a lot of money to land the Frenchman, who comes at a price tag of € 50million.
Fekir arrived at Real Betis from Lyon in the summer of 2019 in what was a surprise move, a year after his failed transfer to Liverpool. Nonetheless, the move to Estadio Benito Villamarin was the right step in the career of the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, who has established himself as a central figure for Los Verdiblancos.
Most recently, Fekir was on target against Celta Vigo in a goal that helped Real Betis secure a place in the UEFA Europa League next season. This strike was his fifth of the season in La Liga, in addition to six assists in 33 league appearances. However, Fekir’s future at Real Betis is not entirely certain, with Arsenal keeping a close eye on developments.
Arsenal’s interest in Fekir makes a lot of sense, given that they urgently need to sign a creative midfielder in the summer transfer window. While their priority would be to secure Martin Odegaard’s services on a permanent deal, the Gunners must identify potential alternatives for the Norwegian playmaker.
So while Emile Smith Rowe should be a long-term option for Mikel Arteta, another playmaker won’t do much harm. To that end, Arsenal have also been linked with Emiliano Buendia, with Fekir also being a viable target for the Premier League heavyweights.

Arsenal now also knows how much they will have to pay to secure the services of the 27-year-old French international. Real Betis have slapped a € 50million prize on the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner and Arsenal are considering a hit.
What remains to be seen now is whether it really isn’t in Arsenal’s hands to land Odegaard from Real Madrid on a permanent basis. If so, we might just see the Gunners making a move for Fekir, although it will be interesting to see if they’re ready to stick to his € 50million valuation.
